CarPlay / Android Auto Hardwired Audio

*Hardwired Audio is a physical connection between the J-LED Customs VE CP/AA devices audio outputs and the IQ system audio inputs via the Rear Aux Input. 

To make calls in vehicles with retrofitted IQ systems you must either have the factory Series 2 Microphone (Highly Recommended) installed or purchase the "Hardwired Audio Harness" and install the supplied microphone in the J-LED Customs VE CarPlay / AA kit. You will then use the "Rear AUX" input on the IQ to hear audio from your phone and make calls. You can still listen to other inputs and display CarPlay but the sound of navigation and music will be through the "Rear AUX' input on the IQ system.

If your vehicle is not fitted with a factory Series 2 Microphone, you will either need:

-a factory Series 2 Microphone installed:

This would mean you can use the CarPlay unit as designed. Via Bluetooth to the IQ system, be able to use the steering wheel to skip songs, be able to push the buttons on the front console to skip tracks, listen to any audio input and still be able to answer phone calls via the factory microphone and steering wheel button.

This means you can only listen to the phone to hear navigation and calls, and loose all steering wheel functions for answer call and skip track.

This harness is extremely easy to install at a later date.
